Where are the UK's Quick Sale Hotspots, which towns have the highest percentage of homeowners wanting to sell fast?

We analysed more than 16,000 of our customer inquiries over the last four years to find the top locations for quick house sale customers. We've mapped the top 25 of the 100 largest UK towns receiving the highest percentage of inquiries by population.

If you're a buyer, then use our survey to help identify locations where you can find a discounted home or bargain buy-to-let. Quick sale inquiry findings for the 100 biggest UK towns

Most quick house sale inquiries from the 100 largest UK towns are from northern towns with former industries such as steel, coal, shipbuilding, textiles, and fishing, etc. A few declining seaside towns also feature highly.

The South Yorkshire towns of Barnsley, Doncaster & Rotherham place 1st, 2nd, and 5th, with the Lancashire towns of Oldham, Preston & Wigan placed 3rd, 4th, and 9th.

When all UK towns are considered, different results appear when a minimum number of customer inquiries per location applied.

With a minimum of 3 customer inquiries per town, then Whitchurch in Shropshire, Bilston (West Midlands) and Barking in Essex, feature 1st, 2nd, and 3rd for quick sale inquiries.

A minimum of 10 customer inquiries finds Bilston 1st for quick sale customer inquiries followed by Saltburn by the Sea in North Yorkshire 2nd, and Wigton in Cumbria, 3rd.

A minimum of 30 customer inquiries finds Bishop Auckland in County Durham 1st, Pontefract in West Yorkshire 2nd, and Barnsley in South Yorkshire, 3rd.

A minimum of 80 customer inquiries and the rankings change yet again to Pontefract, Barnsley, and Doncaster at 1st, 2nd, and 3rd respectively.
